Aquila’s Animal Rescue Centre (ARC), in the Western Cape, is proud to be home to two juvenile Nile Crocodiles, both of whom were rescued from a nearby Crocodile Farm. Our on-site conservation team is committed to providing these incredible, ancient reptiles with a safe haven and a second chance at life.

Understanding the unique needs of African Nile Crocodiles (which are cold-blooded reptiles), the rescue centre has taken special measures to ensure their well-being. Maintaining a carefully regulated environment for the crocodiles, especially during the extreme cold experienced in the Karoo’s mountainous region, is vital to their survival.
